Our focus

Drifftly is an independent educational website with four tools for estimating gasoline spending, EV charging cost, recurring commute fuel and parking, and gas-versus-EV energy spending. We keep the inputs and limits visible so you can compare scenarios on the same distance and time basis.

What the tools include

The fuel calculator divides distance by MPG and applies a price per gallon. The EV tool calculates energy from kWh per 100 miles, adds the entered percentage allowance and applies a price per kWh. The commute tool adds entered parking to annual gasoline spending. Gas versus EV compares energy for identical miles without automatically adding charging losses.

These outputs are not complete ownership budgets. Purchase or finance costs, insurance, maintenance, depreciation, tolls and other unentered charges need separate estimates. The example prices are illustrations rather than current local quotes.

Guides and sources

Our tool directory explains each method. The guides help align periods, units and efficiency assumptions. External references provide context; Drifftly does not automatically import vehicle ratings, tariffs or live energy prices and does not claim endorsement by a government agency or vehicle manufacturer.
