Privacy policy

This policy explains information associated with browsing Drifftly, using its fuel, EV charging, commute and gas-versus-EV calculators, and contacting the site operator.
Calculator inputs
The calculators use distance, efficiency, energy prices and other numbers you supply. Their arithmetic runs in your browser; the calculator script does not send those values to a server or save them in browser storage. No user account is needed. Enter numerical scenarios rather than names, exact home addresses, vehicle registration numbers or other identifying information. Technical records from a website visit are separate from calculator inputs.
Contact messages
The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. These details are processed so the operator can receive your inquiry, investigate a reported calculation issue and respond. Hosting and message-delivery services may process the submission, and correspondence may remain in message or email records. Do not send passwords, payment details or identity documents. For a calculator problem, provide the page URL and non-identifying example numbers.
Technical information and service providers
Hosting and security services may receive IP addresses, requested URLs, request dates, browser information, referrers and error records to deliver the site, investigate faults and prevent misuse. IP addresses and contact details can be personal information. Browser-based calculations do not mean the host keeps no logs or that all website activity is anonymous. Relevant hosting, messaging and enabled third-party services can process information for these purposes.
Cookies and browser choices
WordPress can use authentication and preference cookies for administrators. Public calculator use does not require an administrator login. Other enabled services may use cookies or similar storage. You can review and delete stored site data through your browser; doing so may reset preferences. Where a consent control is presented, use it to manage the choices it offers. Clearing browser cookies does not delete email correspondence or server logs.
Advertising and external services
If advertising is enabled, vendors including Google may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure advertisements. Google’s advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other websites, including personalized advertising where permitted. An ads.txt entry identifies an authorized advertising seller; it does not establish that ads are currently being served. External resources or embedded content, when loaded, can receive connection information under the provider’s own practices. Links to vehicle or energy references take you to independently operated websites with their own policies.
Retention and requests
Contact correspondence, hosting logs and provider records have different retention settings. We do not promise that every record is deleted when you close a calculator. Contact us about a specific record, its handling or a deletion request. Records needed for security, unresolved inquiries or applicable obligations may need to be retained.
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or other choices concerning personal information. Use Contact Drifftly to explain your request. Reasonable verification may be needed before disclosing or changing a record. Include only the information needed to identify the request. Provider controls can address provider-held information; contact us separately about a message you sent to Drifftly.
Children, security and updates
Do not send a child’s identifying information or sensitive records. A parent or guardian may contact the operator about information supplied by a child. No website can guarantee absolute security. We may revise this policy as services or practices change and update the date above.
